Digital Touring Network: Streamed Performances

Our digital programme with AMP Music offers streamed orchestral performances with accompanying classroom music resources.

What we offer

We offer streamed performances that are available to access online for 6 months. Giving schools the flexibility to plan their engagement as part of their ongoing curriculum delivery.

The orchestral performances are designed to introduce young people to the orchestra and increase exploration of music within the classroom. Each offer is accompanied by a resource pack containing various musical and cross-curricula activities that support teachers in delivering music learning. These range from songs to learn to creative music activities and musical games. Teachers can use the classroom resources to engage with the performance themes and prepare their class to watch the streamed performance to inspire their further music-making.

We also partner with Music Hubs to co-curate more activities that enhance the streamed performance and support school engagement in their area.

ON Tour with Opera North (Key Stage 2)

In this fun and interactive concert, students learned about the different sections of the orchestra, how music conveys a story, and how the conductor keeps everyone playing in time!

ON Tour has been shortlisted in The Music and Drama Education Awards 2025 for Outstanding Music Education Resource.

"They loved it. They watched intently and were sad when we had to stop (we ran out of time), asking to rewatch it the next lesson. They wanted to give answers to the questions and had interesting thoughts about what each piece of music sounded like."
