Toby is a trustee, committee member, corporate adviser and chartered accountant, with over 30 years’ professional experience as an auditor.

As an Audit Partner at Deloitte LLP, Toby had a series of national and regional leadership roles within the firm, in areas as diverse as risk & quality, business development, and practice management, in addition to leading the audit engagements and working with the Audit Committees and Boards of companies of all sizes, from early-stage businesses to multi-national listed, private and Private Equity backed groups.

With a life-long love of music, Toby is passionate about enabling the benefits of orchestras to be experienced and enjoyed by as many people as possible, across all ages and communities. He has a number of roles with musical organisations, in addition to being a keen amateur pianist, cellist and singer. He is a member of the Grants Assessment Panel of Cathedral Music Trust, a Trustee of Winchester-based chamber choir Southern Voices, a member of the Programming Committee for The Waynflete Singers, and a committee member of The Friends of Hampshire County Youth Orchestra.

He is also an Advisory Board member with Be the Business, working with businesses and mentoring executives for improved business productivity.
