Oliver Vibrans
Oliver Vibrans is a Composer, Producer and Musical Director. Oliver has composed music for theatre, film, art installations, radio and the concert hall. Recent commissions include Oliver Twist for Leeds Playhouse and Ramps on the Moon, More Up, a concert commission for Orchestras Live, The Halle, BBC Philarmonic and The Able Orchestra, The Process at The Bunker Theatre London, From The Crowd a commemoration of Peterloo, part of the unveiling of the memorial by Jeremy Deller, Out Of The Dark, for the Rose Theatre Kingston, A Snail of Two Cities, a comic animated short film, an outdoor production of The Merchant of Venice for Stafford Shakespeare Festival, Rutherford & Son for Sheffield Theatres, This Is Not For You, an outdoor contemporary opera performed at Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, The Stars Come Out at Night installation for Stellar Projects at Leeds Art Gallery, Strangers on A Train Set for LipService Theatre, an original score for The Midwich Cuckoos, John Wyndham's classic sic-fi novel adapted for BBC Radio 4, Shakespeare’s The Tempest for the Royal Exchange Theatre, Hurricane Protest Songs for Graeae Ensemble, The Pitmen Painters for The New Vic Theatre,Edward II at Cambridge Arts Theatre and Mr Darcy Loses the Plot, a national touring production for LipService. Oliver also created original music for The Vostok K Incident for BBC R&D, an experimental radio drama that utilises electronic devices such as phones and laptops to create an improvised surround sound experience.
