Caroline Downs is an artist manager and has worked in both the orchestral and social care sectors. She is a registered social worker, and has worked in a community adults team supporting people with severe mental illness, brain injury, learning disabilities and dementia.

Whilst working for the Bath Philharmonia Orchestra she delivered orchestral and creative learning projects across the South West. In her current role as artist manager for KD Schmid, she works with leading artists and orchestras both in the UK and internationally.

Caroline believes that orchestras should be accessible to everyone and is particularly interested in reaching marginalised groups and individuals who receive social care. She is a mum of two and, in her spare time, plays the flute with orchestras in Bristol.
