Chair of the Board
Orchestras Live seeks a new Chair to lead the Board of Trustees and help steer this socially focused, forward looking organisation through its next phase of development.
Orchestras Live believes orchestras are for everyone. Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to and can enjoy the benefits of live orchestral music, regardless of their background. We play a unique role in forging relationships between orchestras and communities to create high quality, innovative orchestral experiences. We work throughout England in places which have experienced historical underinvestment, including rural and coastal areas. Our projects can take place in schools, care homes, prisons, arts venues, museums, outdoors and online.
With positive evidence from recent investment in our team to deepen public engagement, measure impact and develop income through business innovation, we are poised to embark on the next phase of our business strategy.
Community Impact Coordinator – North
Orchestras Live seeks a Community Impact Coordinator – North who has a passion for community engagement and believes in the value of cultural and creative opportunities for people where they live and work. This is a full-time post for a fixed term of 18 months with potential for extension.
Working closely with the Regional Producer – North, you will play an important part in delivering our strategy for the region. You will be a local advocate and intermediary, using proven models to engage communities in shaping orchestral experiences that relate to their interests and needs. You will help to build long-term programmes that deepen impact in areas where Orchestras Live has existing partnerships, and develop new partnerships in specified areas of the region that have experienced historical underinvestment.
