Classically Yours Funding Secured
NewsNews Story
We are delighted that our partners at East Riding Council have secured funding to continue our Classically Yours programme until summer 2024.
The next phase of Classically Yours builds on work with orchestra, promoter, local music and community partners in the coastal areas of Bridlington and Withernsea, targeting those least engaged in cultural activities and developing new audiences for orchestral music.
Our grassroots programme in Withernsea with Manchester Camerata is currently underway, working with local secondary schools, care settings and two local choirs to co-create and perform new music as part of our joyful culmination concerts at Withernsea High School. Current participants will then work with the orchestra to design the next project.
Partners are working with East Riding Music Hub and the Library Service to deliver programming and engagement activities for families, creative projects for schools with Sinfonia Viva and work with early years settings using our digital resource Musical Journeys: A Day at the Pond / Mausam.
The Hallé will be bringing their relaxed concerts for those living with dementia, developing Classically Yours’ health and wellbeing activity in the Bridlington area for the first time.
As the programme develops, Orchestras Live are working with our partners at the Council to explore evaluation and how we can effectively demonstrate the impact of Classically Yours’, now into it’s seventh year. You can read our previous Classically Yours Impact report here.
We’re hugely excited to be continuing Classically Yours and look forward to working with communities and orchestras to share wonderful music, old and new.
